Company Background

Iterate Control implements solutions for dynamic testing using advanced learning control developed by the founders, Professors David Owens and Stephen Daley.

It uses patented, state-of-the-art methods that are significantly more powerful than traditional algorithms based on inverse or similar strategies.  Iterate ILS is able to generate viable drive files in complex testing environments where existing drive file generation programs break down, for example where response of the rig or specimen under test is non-linear, where there is significant structural resonance or clearance.

It is also significantly faster to use than traditional programs, often generating a viable drive file in one or two iterations.  In one recent case, Iterate ILS generated a viable test program on a rig/speciman with significant resonance and non-linearity in 6 hours after the operator had achieved no viable solution in 25 days.

Iterate ILS delivers reduced time to market, more rigorous testing, fewer backlogs and increased throughput in test laboratories, and above all significantly reduced operating costs.

Iterate ILS can accept and enhance existing drive files via file exchange (MTS RPC, Servotest ICS or generalised ASCII file formats).  It is intended to be as a direct replacement for MTS RPC Pro, Instron SPiDAR, Servotest ICS, Zwick QanTiM and LMS/IST Time Waveform Replication.

For the non-technical

Iterate ILS is an advanced control software product for servo-hydraulic and electrical dynamic test rigs that is used to generate drive files, remotely control servo parameters, simulate rig response and optimise test programs.
