Medaphor designs and develops ultrasound training solutions based on multi-media and computer based simulations systems. It sells a range of web based e-learning modules, training courses and in 2010 launched ScanTrainer - its unique ultrasound training simulator, which bridges the training gap that exists when students move from the textbook to the patient. The trans-vaginal Scan-Trainer, which is the first of three ultrasound simulators, was developed with the financial assistance of SMARTCymru and is already being used by a number of the UK's leading hospitals.
